NSW Government- COVID Land Tax Relief
This land tax relief is offered to commercial or residential landlords who have reduced their rent due to COVID-19.
What is the relief:
If eligible, the relief available may:
• reduce up to 50% of your 2020 land tax liability
• reduce up to 25% of your 2021 land tax liability
• be paid to you as a refund if you've already paid your land tax
• reduce the amount of land tax payable if you have not yet completed payment
Why is it important?
• because the applications are closing soon
• Applications for 2020 relief close on 31 March 2021
• Applications for 2021 relief close on 30 April 2021
