Every 6 months the Tax Practitioners Board survey tax practitioners and consumers to understand consumer motivations and guide our communication strategies. The latest survey revealed a number of interesting trends including:

• Consumers continue to have a high trust level in their tax practitioner (89%).

• 58% of consumers have used the same tax practitioner for over 5 years.

• Over 80% of tax practitioners who responded believe we are effective at ensuring tax practitioners are registered and we are continuing to make progress in reducing ‘red tape’.
